My Thoughts:

I enjoyed Paige's first book, Here Lies Bridget, so I was really excited to review New Girl. Unfortunately this one just wasn't for me. I struggled to get into the story from the beginning & in the end I just admitted defeat & stopped trying. This book had a good bit of content that I didn't like & I just couldn't connect with the characters. The main problem for me though were the switching view points. Most of the time that isn't an issue; it gives you a good look into the way some of the other major players in the book think. With New Girl all it seemed to do was confuse me. At times I didn't even realize the point of view had changed & when I did I felt the need to go back and re-read those pages. I still like Paige's other book & I will still want to check out her next one, unfortunately this one just wasn't my cup of tea.
