The Book of the Month & Book Club pick for January is...
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith.

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.

Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

  1. Oh, I adored this book! It was too cute! The only problem was how short it was, yet it was still the same price...but leave it to me to complain about the price.
Anyway, it was a fabulous book. Loved it!

  2. Oh, and I forgot to ask if you finished Entwined (your sidebar reminded me). Did you like it?
Also, I've been looking forward to both Obsidian and Everneath. I've heard a lot of good things about both...though I also heard there's a lot of profanity in Obsidian, so I haven't decided if I'm going to read it yet.
    Anway, happy new year!

  3. @RachelThat's what everyone said & I think it's only supposed to have 1 minor cuss word(which will be a vast improvement on the last few books I read O_o lol). I just started it, but so far I'm liking it. And I'm the same way. To me if it's super short, an e-book, or a paperback, it just shouldn't cost as much.

  4. @RachelI didn't =( I got sick & I've got some review books I need to get read asap, so Entwined kind of got pushed to the back burner. I'm about halfway through. I like it so far, but parts of it are slow.
Statistical Probability, Obsidian, & Everneath are actually the review books I was talking about. I got an early finished copy of Statistical Probability, but Everneath & Obsidian are through NetGalley & they're about to expire O_o. I've been hearing so much awesome-ness about them so hopefully the profanity isn't too bad. A couple others I read for review recently were full of it, so I kinda nee a break from all that, you know? I also need to get caught up on some content reviews. So much to get done after that little break I took for Christmas.
Oh well, I'll get caught up eventually, right? Haha
Happy New Year to you too! =)

  5. @RenOh yeah, the Statistical Probability has nothing bad in it at all that I can remember so it makes sense that it would be a minor word. I hope you enjoy it!
Yeah, Entwined was really slow. I mean, it was a cute story, but rather slow for my taste. I'm glad I read it, but it could've had so much more action.
I think Everneath was supposed to be fairly clean, but I can't seem to find a good review of Obsidian so I'm not sure about it. None of the usual blogs I follow have read it, so I'm looking forward to yours. But I got a Kindle for Christmas and it's just so easy to press "buy now"! lol!
I definitely know how you feel. It seems a lot of the good books out there are just full of bad content. Like Daughter of Smoke and Bones...I really wanted to read it, but when I heard what was in it, I decided not to.
    Anyway, hope you're feeling better!

  6. @RachelI tried to read D of S&B but I just couldn't get into it... I'm kind of afraid Obsidian will have a lot of profanity, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway since it sounds SO good! :P I agree about the action in Entwined. I've set it aside until I finish the other books, but it seems there could be a lot more action in it than there is. It's good so far, just a tad slow.

  7. @RenWell, let me know how it goes if you start it. Yeah, it did sound really good!
I think I'm going to start reading Under the Never sky next. It's a new release, have you heard of it?

  8. @RachelI will! =)
I have heard of it. I don't think it was supposed to have much bad language either, so that's good. I hope you enjoy it! =)
Hey, just out of curiosity, do have twitter? I know I update that if a book I'm reading is really good or has a lot of cussing etc, so I just figured I'd ask. =)

  9. @RenUnfortunately, no, I don't have a Twitter account. I really don't even know much about Twitter. Can I view part of your account/posts (I don't know what they're called) if I don't have an account??

  10. @RachelYou sure can! I have my tweets set to public. =) The little heart on the right sidebar that has a t in it will take you right to my profile. =) Personally I love it. I just figured I'd ask since it might be easier/faster for you. =)

  11. @RenAwesome! Yeah, I totally thought I had check there! lol! I wondered why I couldn't find it....I guess it was just me.
Might be easier/faster for what? Sorry, I must have missed it.

  12. @RachelHaha Sorry, I just meant it might be easier or faster for you if there was one specific book I was reading that you were curious about to just check my Twitter or Goodreads than my blog comments since sometimes it takes me a bit longer to get back to them. I don't update about every book though. Sometimes I just wait & do the content review. Also, I've posted some new content reviews on my content review site too if you were interested in that. =)

  13. I totally want to read this book after reading all the rave reviews of it! I think you've convinced me. This is gonna be my next pick!
